M2 Engineering LLC is seeking a staff structural engineer in Chicago with 1–3 years of experience. You will assist in design, documentation, and analysis across new construction, renovations, and adaptive reuse projects, working closely with architects, contractors, and owners. Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit is required, with exposure to various structural systems.

• ABET-accredited B.S. in Civil or Structural Engineering; Master’s degree is a plus.
• 1–3 years of professional structural engineering experience.
• EIT certification or ability to obtain shortly after hire preferred.
• Experience preparing construction documents and structural calculations.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and/or Revit, including plans, details, and markups.
• Experience with steel and concrete design; wood/masonry/cold-formed steel design a plus.
• Familiarity with mixed-use developments and renovation projects.
• Experience with structural analysis/drafting software such as RISA-3D, Tekla Tedds, RAM, SAP2000, ETABS, AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam, MS Office.

Responsabilidades

• Assist with structural design and documentation of new construction, renovation, and adaptive reuse projects.
• Prepare structural calculations, drawings, specifications, and reports for various building types and systems.
• Supervised structural analysis and design using software and hand calculations.
• Participate in site visits, structural assessments, and construction administration activities.
• Collaborate with architects, contractors, owners, and other design professionals.
• Contribute to projects utilizing steel, concrete, masonry, timber, and cold-formed steel systems.
