Join to apply for the Staff Structural Engineer role at Pennoni.

Position Overview

We are seeking a Staff Structural Engineer to join our team on a full-time, direct basis in the State College, PA area.

Primary Responsibilities
  1. Perform structural engineering design and analysis for various projects and building structures.
  2. Collaborate with team members to develop structural construction documentation.
  3. Contribute to project coordination and mentor less-experienced staff when needed.
  4. Perform additional duties as assigned.
Basic Requirements
  1. Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering or a related technical discipline.
  2. Minimum of 4 years of professional engineering experience, preferably with structural design projects.
Preferred Qualifications
  1. Professional Engineer (PE) license.
  2. Experience with assessment of existing structures, new building development, and precast concrete projects.
  3. Proficiency with engineering tools such as CADD, BIM, project management software; Trimble Tekla experience is a plus.
  4. Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 and Adobe Acrobat.
  5. Project management experience is advantageous.
  6. Strong organizational skills and ability to work in a dynamic environment, with excellent multi-tasking and collaboration skills.
  7. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Additional Information

We are open to considering higher-level candidates with additional experience, with compensation adjusted accordingly.
