GEI Consultants, Inc. in Oakland, CA is seeking an Entry-Level Structural Engineer to join our California Water Resources team. You will support design and construction of dams, spillways, pumps, pipelines, and other water infrastructure, under the guidance of senior staff.
Responsibilities include structural analysis of reinforced concrete and steel, creating drawings and specs, cost estimates, and coordination with CAD. Travel to project sites and other offices is required as needed.

The selected candidate will support GEI’s companywide Structural/Geo-Structural practice and work with senior staff on the planning, design, and construction support of water resource facilities and hydraulic structures. Responsibilities include structural analysis and design of reinforced concrete and steel structures, preparation of construction drawings and specifications, construction cost estimating, design implementation, and technical report preparation. The position will also support ongoing engineering planning, design, and construction management activities for these projects.
