SLR International Corporation is seeking a Staff Structural Engineer to join our busy Cheshire, Connecticut, Agawam, MA or New Paltz, NY operations. This role offers candidates the opportunity to work on a full palette of assignments, including diverse and challenging state/municipal and private structural engineering projects. SLR is looking to strengthen our industry-leading workforce with additional creative, inquisitive, and hardworking individuals to offer new perspectives and innovative solutions which includes industrial building foundations, marine structures, and bridge design. The successful candidate will be involved in projects throughout the US and will enjoy periodic travel.

The Structural Engineer should possess the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
  • 0 to 3 years’ experience in the field of Structural Engineering with a focus on site structural including retaining walls, abutments, sheeting, bridges and culverts
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D
  • Software: STAAD.Pro, STAAD Foundation, Mathcad, Wall Design, AASHTOware, OpenBridge, Enercalc

Competencies, Attributes, and Traits

  • Problem solving skills and strong attention to detail with excellent analytical and judgment capabilities
  • Demonstrated ability to understand and integrate information to advance projects from origination to implementation to completion
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
