Job summary

Anthropic is seeking a Staff+ Site Reliability Engineer for Safeguards ML Infra in a remote-friendly role with travel to SF, Seattle, and NYC. You will own deployment readiness, safeguards for model launches, and off-cycle classifier rollouts across multiple cloud platforms, turning manual checks into automated pipelines.

Ideal candidates have strong production change management experience, on-call performance, and hands-on cloud ops with Python (Rust a plus).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent required.
• Hands-on experience deploying and operating in cloud environments at scale.
• Strong focus on production readiness and incident response.

Responsibilities

• Launch captain for model releases; configure, verify, and safeguard new models.
• Own off-cycle deployment of new safety classifiers; canary rollouts and post-deploy validations.
• Ensure safeguards are live across all platforms (1P, AWS Bedrock, GCP Vertex).
• Automate runbooks into tooling and create repeatable deployment pipelines.
• Build and maintain a safeguards registry with provenance information.
• Participate in on-call rotations for incidents, provisioning, and safety launches.
