Job summary

Waters Corporation seeks a Staff Internal Auditor to support the SOX compliance program through testing, documentation, and monitoring of internal controls over financial reporting. You will collaborate with control owners, business process leaders, and external auditors in a global public company environment.

The role offers exposure to internal controls, risk management, and audit methodologies across life sciences and manufacturing, with opportunities to contribute to broader IA initiatives

Qualifications

• 1+ year audit experience, mix of public accounting and/or Internal Audit in a global company.
• Foundational understanding of internal controls and risk management concepts.
• Familiarity with ICFR/SOX 404 requirements preferred.
• Experience in life sciences, biopharma including medtech, or broader industrial manufacturing.
• Strong interpersonal and written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform annual testing of key SOX controls for Management's SOX 404 assessment, documenting procedures, conclusions, and evidence.
• Support testing and evaluation of automated controls and IT SOX activities with technology audit personnel.
• Develop understanding of business processes, risks, and internal controls to support SOX compliance and broader IA projects.
• Execute SOX testing procedures with walkthroughs, control testing, documentation review, and evaluation of results.
• Assist in tracking, validation, and reporting of deficiencies, remediation activities, and management action plans.
