Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of routine and complex imaging procedures using high frequency sound waves.
• Obtain tailored sonograms by adjusting the machine based on patient needs.
• Perform diagnostic ultrasounds independently and under physician supervision.

Skills

Technical skill to adjust ultrasound machine

Diagnostic knowledge

Experience in recognizing and diagnosing pathology

Education

Graduate of a certified CAAHEP school of Diagnostic Medical Sonography or equivalent

High school graduate or equivalent

Must be ARDMS registered with advanced certification in Breast
