Job summary

The Certified Staff 1 and 2/Senior Sonographer at University of Vermont Health - Central Vermont Medical Center operates under Radiology leadership to perform routine, complex and highly technical ultrasound procedures for diagnosis. The role requires RDMS/RVT credentials with ARDMS compliance and ongoing cross-training across DI modalities as needed.

Professional staff with five plus years of registered sonography experience, capable of independent judgement, is preferred for the Senior role.

Qualifications

• RDMS and RVT certifications required or preferred.
• Registered sonographer with ARDMS in at least one specialty.
• Experience across routine and complex ultrasound procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of routine, complex and highly technical ultrasound examinations.
• Apply nonionizing ultrasonic waves to aid in disease diagnosis under guidance of Radiologist.
• Maintain competency across modalities as assigned and ensure certification renewals.
