Fivetran is seeking a Staff Solutions Engineer for its Enterprise Field Engineering team. You will partner with sales to translate complex enterprise requirements into prescriptive solutions, deliver value-based demonstrations, and drive a rigorous proof-of-value process to secure the technical win.

The role is remote in the southeastern US with travel. You will work across Product, Support, Customer Success and Engineering to align solutions with enterprise needs, owning the customer lifecycle

Qualifications

• 7+ years of Enterprise solutions engineering experience driving end‑to‑end technical sales cycle.
• Strong technical background, with hands‑on experience in SQL, ELT, data modeling, analytics engineering, or software development.
• A firm understanding of a modern data warehousing architectures and the ability to discuss them credibly with technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Work with Enterprise customers to understand their business requirements, use cases, and develop prescriptive solutions recommendations.
• Develop and deliver value-based, technical solution demonstrations to enterprise audiences.
• Owning and drive structured proof-of-value process that secures the technical win.

About the Role

We're looking for a talented Staff Solutions Engineer to join our Enterprise Field Engineering team. In this role, you'll partner closely with sales to understand the complex needs of our largest enterprise customers and show them how the combined power of Fivetran and dbt Labs can turn those challenges into real business outcomes. You'll bring the technical expertise, uncovering functional and technical requirements, designing solutions that fit, and driving a rigorous proof-of-value process that earns the technical win at every stage of the sales cycle.

This is a full‑time, remote position based in the southeastern US (VA, NC, SC, GA, FL), with a willingness to travel 30%+.

Technologies You’ll Use

AWS, GCP, Azure, Snowflake, Databricks, Redshift, BigQuery, Python, Git, APIs, SQL, RDBMS (i.e. SQL Server, PostgreSQL..etc)

What You’ll Do

• Work with Enterprise customers to understand their business requirements, use cases, and develop prescriptive solutions recommendations

Skills We’re Looking For

• 7+ years of Enterprise solutions engineering experience driving end‑to‑end technical sales cycle
• Strong technical background, with hands‑on experience in SQL, ELT, data modeling, analytics engineering,or software development
• A firm understanding of a modern data warehousing architectures and the ability to discuss them credibly with technical audiences
• Excellent verbal, written, and in‑person communication skills, with the ability to discuss complex topics with both technical and non‑technical audiences
• Bias for action - you move fast, ship early, and refine as you learn
• A passion for being an inclusive teammate and involved member of the community

Bonus Skills

• Knowledge of or prior experience with dbt
• Networking and security knowledge relevant to enterprise deployments, such as private networking, VPC/PrivateLink, encryption, and data governance controls
• Experiences designing and implementing solutions for enterprise agentic AI use cases (data, security, or infrastructure).
