Job summary

dbt Labs is hiring a Solutions Architect to lead evaluation, implementation, and adoption of dbt for large enterprise customers. You will design enterprise-grade data pipelines with dbt Cloud and collaborate with Sales to communicate technical value.

Responsibilities include guiding POCs, deploying dbt Cloud in private clouds, and owning the customer lifecycle from pre-sale to expansion. Engaging with partners and the dbt community is encouraged.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of sales engineering, solutions architecture, or consulting in data operations, analytics, or BI
• Solid technical background with SQL, ETL, and data modeling experience
• Firm understanding of and ability to discuss modern data warehousing architectures
• Ability to gather and translate technical and business requirements into concrete solutions
• Excellent verbal, written, and in-person communication skills to discuss complex topics with both technical and non-technical audiences

We’re looking to hire a Solutions Architect, to join the Field Engineering team. As a Solutions Architect, you will lead the evaluation, implementation, and adoption of dbt for our largest enterprise and majors customers.

In this role, you can expect to:

We are looking for someone who has:

• 4+ years of sales engineering, solutions architecture, or consulting in data operations, analytics, or BI

• Ability to operate in an ambiguous and fast‑paced work environment

Nice to haves:

• Prior experience working at an analytics, ETL, BI, and/or open‑sourced software
• Knowledge of or prior experience with dbt
• Experience with Data Modeling methods such as dimensional, data vault, Kimball, 3NF
• Experience with traditional Enterprise ETL tooling (Informatica, Boomi, Talend)

Compensation

We offer competitive compensation packages commensurate with experience, including salary, equity, and where applicable, performance‑based pay. Our Talent Acquisition Team can answer questions around dbt Lab’s total rewards during your interview process.

• The OTE range for this role in Seattle is $219,458.75 - $274,323.75
