Job summary

Stryker Corporation in Freiburg, Germany is seeking a Staff Software Test Engineer to lead testing across features and systems. You will design, implement, and maintain test strategies for both manual and automated testing within an Agile environment.

You will collaborate across product, architecture, development, and QA teams, mentor junior engineers, and help ensure compliance with medical device software standards.

Qualifications

• BS in software engineering or computer science with 4+ years of software testing experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication in English.
• Knowledge of medical device software life cycle standards: 21 CFR part 820, ISO 13485, ISO 14971, IEC 62304.
• Experience in system software testing, both manual and automated.

The Staff Software Test Engineer will plan the schedule and manage test activities for features or projects as well as evaluate standards and special software. The Staff Software Test Engineer may work with outsourced design partners, review and mentor less experienced engineers’ deliverables and have a holistic understanding of tests for modules, sub-systems, and the fully integrated system. This position will define, design, implement, and maintain engineering test equipment, test strategies, test software and specifications for sub-systems and complete systems.
