Staff Software R&D Engineer (Simulation Tools)

Description

Are you are passionate about high performance simulation solutions that enable our automotive and telecommunications customers to develop theembedded software for their next generation of self-driving cars, mobile devices, or virtual reality applications? Do you like to create robust, creative, and flexible software architectures? Is developing high quality/performance software architectures and using modern design principles something that motivates you?

As a Staff Engineer for our fast-growing team, you will be responsible for driving the design of our co-simulation technologies used for integrating into the software development ecosystem in a highly competitive market. You will play a pivotal role in a cross-functional team dedicated to the implementation of new simulation solutions.

This is a hybrid role with at least 3 days on-site in Aachen per week.

In your new role you will:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate new product designs and validate their performance
  • Drive the development and deployment of co-simulation solutions for virtual systems-on-chip
  • Conduct code reviews, debugging, and testing to ensure the delivery of high-quality code

What You’ll Need:

  • MS or PhD degree in Computer Science, Electronics, or similar
  • C/C++ software development - extensive knowledge and hands-on experience
  • Solid understanding of software architecture and full product development cycle
  • Knowledge in object-oriented design, data structures, and algorithms
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
  • Good written and verbal communication skills

Nice to Have:

  • Hands-on experience with simulation technologies
  • Understanding of bus communication protocols (Ethernet, CAN, etc.)
