Job summary

Google Cloud is seeking a Software Engineering Manager to lead a team focusing on product security data within Cloud CISO. You will guide technical strategy, drive data-driven security initiatives, and coordinate across engineering and product teams to deliver robust, scalable security solutions.

You will manage engineers across multiple teams and locations, oversee large projects, and help shape the direction of security data foundations across Cloud, enabling secure, trusted cloud services for

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 8 years of experience programming in C++, Java or Go.
• 3 years of experience building software for data privacy or security.
• 3 years of experience in a technical leadership role.
• 2 years of experience in a people management or team leadership role.
• Experience designing and implementing distributed systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and grow a team of engineers and TPMs responsible for Cloud CISO's product security-related data.
• Define and drive the technical vision, strategy, and roadmap for the team, aligning with Cloud CISO's goals.
• Drive the adoption of advanced GenAI/LLM patterns to improve the accuracy and reliability of our data, and velocity of execution.
• Partner with Cloud CISO leadership, product security engineers, and operations teams to understand data needs, define requirements, and deliver robust solutions.
• Establish and enforce best practices for data quality, governance, and security.

Job description
