Common Qualifications

While each startup has its own hiring criteria, many staff software engineering roles in our network look for:

• 5+ years of experience in backend, infrastructure, or full-stack software engineering.

• Proficiency in backend frameworks (Node.js, Django, Flask, Ruby on Rails, FastAPI, Spring Boot).

• Experience with front-end frameworks (React, Angular, Vue.js) is a plus for full-stack roles.

• Strong experience with databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, DynamoDB, Redis).

• Proficiency with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes).

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps workflows, and infrastructure-as-code tools.

• Familiarity with high-performance computing, distributed systems, and large-scale architectures.

• Experience in early-stage startups or lean teams is a plus.
