Job summary

Walmart Data Ventures is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to lead the delivery of scalable platform capabilities and drive the full software development lifecycle. You will mentor teams, apply cloud-native principles, and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to align with business objectives and ensure quality, security, and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or related area with 4 years’ experience in software engineering or related area.
• Option 2: 6 years’ experience in software engineering or related area.

Responsibilities

• Deliver platform capabilities including infrastructure, tooling, and ML frameworks aligned with roadmap priorities.
• Drive full software development lifecycle activities including coding, testing, deployment, monitoring and maintenance.
• Apply cloud-native architecture principles to ensure scalable, resilient systems.
• Lead system design reviews to validate quality and alignment with architectural standards.

The annual salary range for this position is $132,000.00 - $264,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :
