Job summary

CesiumAstro in Denver, CO, seeks a Staff Software Engineer – Test Automation & Infrastructure to build and scale automated test systems for RF and satellite payload validation.

You will bridge software and hardware test engineering, develop reusable automation frameworks, integrate tests with CI/CD, and mentor teams while emphasizing reliability, modular design, and scalable infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
• 8+ years in software engineering, test automation, or related roles.
• Experience interfacing software with hardware systems or lab instrumentation.
• Proficiency in Python, C/C++, or similar.
• Familiarity with Git, CI/CD tools and test frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Develop automated test software to control lab instrumentation.
• Implement and maintain test sequences for system and component validation.
• Support integration and execution of tests across hardware and software environments.
• Debug and troubleshoot test failures across software, hardware, and interfaces.
• Design scalable automation frameworks and infrastructure for multiple configurations.
