Job summary

Adaptive is hiring one of its first Staff Software Engineers at our Union Square office. You will help shape the architectural direction, guide engineering efforts, and deliver high-quality SaaS software for the construction industry.

Collaborate across teams to translate business goals into reliable systems. Reporting to the VP of Engineering, you will mentor engineers, drive scalable designs, align technical solutions with product vision, and stay ahead of emerging technologies while building

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in software engineering.
• Deep expertise in modern software development practices and a broad range of technologies.
• Demonstrated problem-solving skills and a passion for tackling complex technical challenges.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to mentor and inspire engineering teams.
• Experience in architectural design and decision-making for scalable, high-performance systems.

Responsibilities

• Own the execution and delivery of product priorities in collaboration with the product and design team.
• Lead the technical architecture and design of our software, ensuring scalability, efficiency, and security.
• Align technical solutions with business needs and product vision.
• Drive technical discussions and decision-making processes, ensuring alignment with overall company goals and technology strategy.
• Mentor and guide a team of engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement.
