Job summary

General Motors LLC seeks an experienced software leader to define and evolve the Galileo simulation-platform roadmap, architect scalable systems, and drive cross-functional initiatives across simulation, data, and developer tooling. You will build platforms for test creation, execution orchestration, data processing, and visualization, mentoring teams to deliver impact.

The role emphasizes architecture ownership, performance prioritization, and collaboration with product and engineering leaders

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or higher in CS, Robotics, Engineering, or related field.
7+ years building/operating production software systems or platforms.
Cross-team technical leadership with architectures adopted by multiple teams.
Experience distributed systems, microservices, and data-intensive apps.
Production programming in Python and one of Go/C++/Java/TypeScript.
Cloud platforms and modern delivery practices including CI/CD, observability.

Responsibilities

Define and evolve Galileo and simulation-platform roadmaps and architecture.
Design scalable systems for millions of simulation miles and test results.
Lead cross-functional initiatives across simulation, data, and tooling.
Build platforms for test creation, execution, storage, processing, and visualization.
Establish patterns for distributed systems and cloud infrastructure.
Mentor engineers and promote reusable patterns and documentation.
