Job summary

Valon Mortgage is building a world-class engineering team to automate a highly regulated mortgage and housing space in the United States. You will join a small, tight-knit group delivering backend architecture for billions in scale and a superior user experience for homeowners managing their mortgages.

You’ll learn new concepts quickly, design robust infrastructure, and collaborate with Product and Design to ensure features are delivered with quality and speed.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of software engineering experience building quality software at scale.
• Experience with web/mobile development, distributed systems, or infrastructure management.
• Ability to work cross-functionally balancing product and technical requirements.
• Strong time management and fast-paced startup experience.

Responsibilities

• Design and build robust, extensible infrastructure to handle evolving regulations.
• Develop backend systems to process large-scale data securely.
• Collaborate with Product and Design to define the best user experience.
• Learn new concepts quickly and apply them to challenging problems.
