Job summary

Breeze Airways is seeking an experienced Staff Software Engineer to design and build across the Breeze technology platform. You will focus on shared libraries, services, and tooling used by multiple teams, while solving ambiguous problems and shaping technical direction.

You will mentor peers, write durable code, and partner with product, data, and operations to convert business needs into engineering solutions. A US-based, remote-friendly role is offered.

Qualifications

• 4-year degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Experience architecting production systems serving real customers at scale.
• Ability to evaluate technology choices and make durable design decisions.
• US work authorization.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain shared libraries, services, and tooling across engineering teams.
• Tackle ambiguous problems from investigation to working solution.
• Write and review code across the stack with long-term maintainability in mind.
• Lead technical design for major projects, documenting decisions and building consensus.
• Collaborate with tech leaders to set standards and adopt new technology.
• Mentor engineers, conduct code reviews, and pair program to raise the bar.
• Partner with product, data, and operations to translate business needs into tech direction.
• Document technical decisions to help engineers move faster.
