Job summary

DDN is seeking a hands-on Staff Software Engineer to design and build our Cluster management platform. The role focuses on telemetry, observability, and performance, with Go at the core of the stack. You will collaborate across distributed teams and drive technical clarity through reviews and documentation.

You will own telemetry pipelines, optimize resource use, and contribute to the software defined storage control plane, participating in Scrum events from design to release.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of backend development experience with Go.
• Production-Scale Observability expertise with telemetry pipelines.
• Mastery of the Prometheus and VictoriaMetrics stacks.
• OpenTelemetry ecosystem experience including collectors and instrumentation.

Responsibilities

• Execute the Telemetry Architecture within the observability domain.
• Design and refine how OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, and VictoriaMetrics handle large metrics volumes.
• Drive code excellence with clean, performant Go code and rigorous reviews.
• Engage in Scrum activities from design to release.
• Document telemetry frameworks for cross-team instrumentations.
• Contribute to global on-call rotation for distributed footprint.
