Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent demonstrable depth.
• 10+ years of professional software engineering with staff-level competency.
• Hands-on development; active production coding required.
• Production-grade OAuth 2.x, OIDC, and SAML experience.
• Strong Java and JVM understanding, with PostgreSQL tuning at scale.
• Experience deploying across self-hosted or cloud environments.
• Familiar with AI tooling and adopting AI-augmented development.
• Willingness to work onsite 1-2 days per week in the Denver metro.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end platform initiatives within the FusionAuth core.
• Write Technical Design Documents and guide architectural plans.
• Elevate code and architectural review standards and testing quality.
• Design advanced OAuth 2.x, OIDC, and SAML flows for deployments.
• Engage directly with enterprise customers on guidance and troubleshooting.
• Ensure backward compatibility, API versioning, and upgrade paths.
• Mentor senior engineers toward staff-level execution and autonomy.
• Explore AI-driven solutions and embed AI tooling in SDLC.
