NGV Talent is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to own core infrastructure powering autonomous driving platforms. You will design scalable systems for development, testing, and deployment across the autonomy stack, ensuring reliability and seamless integration with robotic systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• 7+ years of experience building infrastructure and tooling for large-scale robotics or distributed systems.
• Proficiency in Python, C++, and Bash for automation and tooling.
• Hands-on experience with ROS/ROS2 and robotic software deployment pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Architect, develop, and maintain core infrastructure supporting autonomous driving software stack.
• Build robust CI/CD pipelines for rapid, reliable software delivery across simulation and real-world testing.
• Collaborate with autonomy and systems engineers to define scalable software interfaces and deployment strategies.
• Design and maintain AWS-based cloud infrastructure for computation, data processing, and telemetry.
• Implement infrastructure-as-code using Terraform or CloudFormation for automated provisioning.
• Develop automation tools and internal services to streamline developer workflows and testing.
• Establish best practices for software reliability, observability, and system security.
• Drive root-cause analysis for infrastructure issues and design resilient long-term solutions.
• Mentor engineers and influence best practices in infrastructure, CI/CD, and cloud operations.

• Expertise with CI/CD platforms like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or CircleCI.
• Experience managing AWS cloud infrastructure and deployments with Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Proficiency with containerization and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with Git workflows, code review, and collaborative development practices.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting safety-critical, real-time, or high-availability systems.
• Knowledge of monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK Stack.
• Familiarity with networking, security, and distributed system performance optimization.
• Background in robotics DevOps, including simulation orchestration and data pipeline automation.
