Ping Identity Corporation is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to design and build large-scale, Java-based identity management products, with a focus on security, performance, and scalable deployments across multi-tenant environments.

You will collaborate with teams across the US, Canada, and Europe to translate requirements into robust features for PingIDM, ensuring high quality and secure software in a fast-moving Agile environment.

Position Overview

You will be an active member of an innovative and passionate team developing features and key extensions to a growing enterprise product platform for the market leader in Identity Security. There is a wide variety of work including API development, identity protocol implementation, authentication systems, security vulnerability mitigation, identity management and provisioning, and performance optimizations at a large scale.

We seek a Staff Software Engineer who will be active in developing features and capabilities within our Identity Management product suite. We require a passionate developer who flourishes in a fast-moving, agile environment, has good communications skills, an outstanding ability to translate requirements and designs to functional Java code using agentic modeling, and strong attention to security, quality, testability and performance.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop large-scale, single- and multi-tenant, robust, cutting-edge Java-based identity management products

• Experience using AI agents such as claude code to plan, validate, and implement functionality
• The ability to learn quickly and independently, and are capable of gathering information and understanding complex features and environments

Advantage

• Experience with identity management technologies and protocols (e.g., OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, certificate & key management, cryptography, etc.)
• Understanding of enterprise-scale systems and configurations related to security
• Experience building performant systems that deploy and execute at scale

Salary

Salary Range: $132,00 - $165,000

In accordance with Colorado's Equal Pay for Equal Work Act (SB 19-085) the approximate compensation range for this role in Colorado is listed above. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors, such as knowledge, skills, and abilities.
