Job summary

Zscaler is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to join our IAM team in a hybrid role (3 days a week in San Jose, CA). You will design and develop enterprise-grade Identity Management Products, collaborating with Product Management and Business teams to deliver secure, cloud-first solutions.

You will mentor engineers, contribute to core product initiatives, and help maintain a collaborative culture while advancing security through AI-enabled capabilities and modern containerized infrastructure.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of hands-on experience in application architecture and development.
• Expert-level knowledge of Enterprise Java, OOP, OOA, RESTful APIs and frameworks such as Hibernate and Spring.
• Strong knowledge of Identity and Access Management protocols: SAML, OAuth, OpenID Connect.
• Experience developing enterprise-grade Security or Networking products.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop enterprise-grade Identity Management Products for Zscaler.
• Participate in design and implementation of core product functionality and key technical initiatives.
• Mentor junior engineers with software development best practices.
• Help maintain our positive culture as a collaborative and supportive teammate.
• Collaborate across teams to deliver projects from inception to production.
