Observe is a SaaS Observability tool that enables Engineering and DevOps teams to troubleshoot modern distributed applications 10x faster. Observe ingests machine-generated data and turns it into understandable graphs. Our product helps engineers focus more on coding and less on incident investigation, with cost-effective elastic architecture. Founded by top enterprise VC Sutter Hill Ventures, our team includes members from Snowflake, Splunk, and Wavefront. We are expanding our front-end engineering team to deliver a simple yet powerful UI for troubleshooting complex applications.

As a Staff Frontend Engineer, you will:

1. Develop interactive, data-rich user interfaces using React, Typescript, D3, SASS/SCSS, etc.
2. Own the end-to-end delivery of substantial product features.
3. Collaborate with product managers, UX designers, and backend engineers to develop new features.
4. Contribute to the product vision and team planning.
5. Be part of a rapidly growing startup with strong VC backing.

What we are looking for:

1. 6+ years of experience building and maintaining complex enterprise applications.
2. Proficiency with modern web technologies like React, Javascript, Typescript, D3, etc.
3. Understanding of interfaces and design patterns for creating reusable UI components.
4. Ability to balance functionality and delivery speed to maximize value and customer impact.
5. Passion for front-end development and its impact on customer experience.
6. Growth mindset and eagerness to learn and grow.

Preferred qualifications:

1. Practical experience over college fundamentals; experience with dashboards and analytics tools like Splunk, Datadog, Looker, Power BI is a plus.
2. Knowledge of core web browser components like DOM, CSS, Canvas, XHR, etc.
3. Experience in startup or growth-stage environments.
