Job summary

Shield AI is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to design and build enterprise apps and integrations, connecting engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and finance systems. You will work primarily in C#/.NET with React, building distributed, AI-enabled systems in the cloud.

This senior, hands-on role expects quick learning, strong decision-making, and ownership. You will lead projects, mentor teammates, and drive observability, security, and scalable practices across Azure or AWS environments.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Deep expertise in C# and .NET, RESTful APIs, and EF or similar data access.
• Frontend experience with React (TypeScript preferred).
• Experience with messaging and event-driven architecture.
• Cloud experience (Azure or AWS) and security concepts.
• Proficient in CI/CD and testing disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain enterprise apps, APIs, and services with C#/.NET and React.
• Architect distributed, event-driven systems using message brokers and iPaaS tools.
• Integrate enterprise systems (PLM, ERP, identity) and handle long-running workflows.
• Apply patterns like Saga, outbox, CQRS for scalable, resilient solutions.
• Incorporate AI capabilities and use AI coding tools effectively.
• Deploy and operate services in Azure and/or AWS with secure practices.
• Collaborate on design reviews, code reviews, and engineering standards.
