Job summary

Google is hiring a Staff Software Engineer for the Gemini Enterprise App within Cloud AI. You will lead the technical strategy for the Gemini Enterprise metrics ecosystem, building data infrastructure and analytics pipelines to track generative AI adoption and system reliability.

Location options include Kirkland, WA or Sunnyvale, CA. This full-time role offers a base salary of $207,000–$301,000 USD plus a 20% bonus target and equity, with opportunities to mentor and influence cross-functional

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
8 years of professional programming experience in Python, Java, C++, Kotlin, or Go.
5 years of experience launching and testing software products.
3 years of experience in software architecture and design.
Practical experience integrating LLM interfaces or generative AI tools into existing workflows.

Responsibilities

Establish the long-term technical roadmap and architectural vision for the Gemini Enterprise metrics platform.
Design and manage high-throughput streaming and batch data pipelines to convert raw logs into actionable metrics.
Maintain production SLAs and SLOs while optimizing cloud infrastructure costs and reducing manual operational work.
Collaborate with Product, Data Science, and Engineering leadership to define telemetry requirements and project timelines.
Mentor team members and promote internal standards for data security, privacy, and software testing.
