Job summary

Riot Games is seeking a Staff Software Engineer for VALORANT Foundations Developer Experience & Workflows. You will design and evolve platforms, tools, and workflows enabling developers to move faster with confidence across PC and console, leveraging AI with proper guardrails.

You will mentor peers, collaborate with engineers, designers, artists, producers, and QA to deliver robust, scalable solutions and improve development workflows in a live game environment.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of professional software engineering experience, including live or shipped games.
• 2+ years of professional experience with Unreal Engine.
• 2+ years of professional experience with C++.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• Experience collaborating on cross-team development (3+ months), including requirements gathering and release planning.

Responsibilities

• Create tools and systems that improve developer experience and efficiency.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to exceed development expectations.
• Influence software engineering best practices for development.
• Develop sustainable, testable solutions ensuring a consistent player experience across platforms.
• Mentor junior team members and contribute to multi-month development efforts.
