Job summary

Riot Games is seeking a Staff Software Engineer for VALORANT's Foundations Developer Experience & Workflows team. You will design and evolve platforms, tools, and workflows that empower game developers to create and validate content across PC and console, including leveraging AI with proper guardrails for quality and reliability.

You will collaborate with engineers, designers, artists, producers, and QA to enable faster iteration and a stronger player experience, reporting to the Engineering

Qualifications

6 years of professional software engineering experience, including games at scale.
2+ years professional experience with Unreal Engine.
2+ years professional experience with C.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
Experience collaborating on cross-team development efforts (3+ months).

Responsibilities

Create tools and systems that improve developer experience and efficiency.
Work with stakeholders across the organization to address pain points and exceed expectations for VALORANT development.
Influence software engineering best practices for development.
Develop sustainable, testable, robust solutions ensuring a consistent player experience across platforms.
Provide mentorship to junior engineers and contribute to multi-month development efforts.
