Coco is hiring a Staff Software Engineer to own and drive backend platform features from design to production. You’ll work with product managers to understand merchants, consumers, and internal stakeholders, proposing scalable Go-based solutions.

The role is in-office at our Venice, CA HQ, collaborating across a cross-functional Delivery Platform team responsible for order ingestion, delivery management, logistics, and internal tools. You’ll mentor junior engineers and influence system design.

Competenze

• BS in computer science or equivalent technical experience.
• 7+ years of professional software development experience.
• Experience designing and leading implementation of new platform features and services, including deployment in AWS.
• Experience supporting production services (3+ years).
• Experience developing backend services in Go (preferred) or another language with willingness to work in Go.
• Strong SQL database fundamentals (3+ years).
• Experience with message queues & pub/sub (Kafka or RabbitMQ).

• Own and drive products from design to development to testing to production.
• Collaborate with product managers to understand user needs and propose technical solutions.
• Structure and manage projects for junior engineers and report on impact.
• Contribute to the Delivery Platform team's software powering order ingestion, delivery management and internal tools.
