Docker, Inc. is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to join their Cloud Sandboxes team in Seattle. In this remote-first role, you will design and build core systems to enhance Docker’s cloud platform. The ideal candidate should have over 10 years of backend engineering experience and strong skills in Go and Kubernetes.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of backend software engineering experience building large-scale cloud or distributed systems.
• Strong proficiency in Go and/or Java.
• Deep understanding of container orchestration, Kubernetes, and microservices architecture.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and operate core services for Docker’s Cloud Sandboxes platform.
• Build scalable systems for microVM orchestration, workload scheduling, and lifecycle management.
• Develop high-performance APIs for managing multi-tenant workloads.
