Job summary

Poshmark is seeking a Lead Platform Engineer to drive scalable product features across payments, shipping, and content on our fashion marketplace. You will mentor engineers and collaborate with security, product, data, and engineering teams to deliver high-impact initiatives.

You will help steer the micro-services transition and own technical outcomes, empowering a high-scale platform used by millions of users worldwide.

Responsibilities

About the Role

Lead the development of scalable product features on the Poshmark platform for content and commerce.

What You’ll Do

• Serve as a partner to platform security and content integrity teams to execute initiatives that support platform features related to payments, shipping, and content.
• Identify technical opportunities for platform improvements and lead efforts toward a micro‑services architecture.
• Work cross‑functionally with engineering teams, product managers, data analysts, data scientists, and data engineers to drive projects from conception to release.
• Mentor and lead other team members.

6‑Month Accomplishments

• Become familiar with Poshmark’s code and infrastructure in one of the areas of payments, commerce, or content.
• Work with product managers to technically vet new features for feasibility and scoping.

12+ Month Accomplishments

• Establish yourself as an expert in one or more areas of the Poshmark platform and as a technical lead on the Platform team.
• Develop full expertise across the cloud platform and data systems.
• Proactively identify opportunities and collaborate with Product Managers and the Data team to bring them to life.

What You’ll Bring

• 5+ years of hands‑on experience building products in a high‑scale environment.

Experience Mentoring Other Engineers

• Experience building user trust models and anti‑spam product enhancements is a plus.
• Understanding of web technologies and cross‑platform tracking is a plus.
