Toast is seeking a Staff Software Engineer Tech Lead in the United States to own end-to-end care tooling migrations and platform integrations for the care experience team. You will drive the migration and shape upcoming features, integrating backend systems and workflows to improve agent efficiency.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software engineering experience.
• Experience designing and implementing AWS-native integrations.
• Proven ability to set technical direction for complex systems.
• Demonstrated technical leadership across teams.
• Experience integrating with third-party platforms and vendor systems.

Responsabilités

• Drive end-to-end development of care agent tooling—from design through production.
• Lead design and development of Toast services that connect the contact center with backend systems.
• Own reliability and performance of business-critical tools in a high-throughput environment.
• Collaborate with product, care operations, QA and engineering on roadmap and requirements.
• Make pragmatic technical decisions balancing vendor capabilities and delivery speed.
• Lead technical design and architecture decisions for Toast care tooling.
• Mentor engineers through code reviews and pair programming.
• Leverage AI tools to improve development velocity and productivity.
