Harness Software Engineering Insights (SEI) is building a data-heavy backend that connects to 40+ developer tools and processes millions of events. You’ll work on scalable Java services, shape data models, and partner with SRE/DevOps to ensure reliable deployments.

This is a role for engineers who love solving hard problems and shipping in a fast, quality-conscious environment. We’re looking for a senior backend engineer with 8-10+ years of experience in distributed systems, strong SQL skills,

Qualifications

• 8-10+ years in building scalable backend systems.
• Strong Java expertise and distributed systems knowledge.
• Experience with relational databases and search tools.
• Familiarity with Docker and CI/CD processes.
• Experience hosting on AWS/Azure/GCP.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, deploy and maintain critical Java backend services.
• Write specifications and design documents for features.
• Understand complex systems and own key components.
• Work in an agile environment with short feedback loops.
• Collaborate with SRE/DevOps to deploy and diagnose production issues.
