Job summary

Harvey is seeking a Software Engineer on the Product Engineering team in San Francisco, CA. You will own and lead engineering projects across our product lines, collaborating with AI, Legal, and GTM teams to build secure systems for customers and scale our AI-enabled software.

This role requires experience across the stack (React, TypeScript, CSS/Tailwind, Python, PostgreSQL) and a track record of shipping fast-growing SaaS products.

Qualifications

7+ years in a product-focused full-stack software engineering role.
Experience with React, TypeScript, CSS (TailwindCSS).
Track record of building fast-growing SaaS products.
Track record of shipping highly intuitive products and strong attention to detail.
Experience building scalable solutions across the stack for multiple product lines.
Strong programming skills and CS knowledge.
Grit – startup experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

Scale document ingestion and processing across multiple jurisdictions.
Design data collection and integration across the stack.
Build secure systems for governments and enterprises.
Lead projects delivering AI to web, desktop, mobile, and document editors.
Develop AI-native features like agentic orchestration and tool calls.
Ship end-to-end across React/TypeScript frontend and Python/PostgreSQL backend.
