Job summary

Wisdom is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to define technical direction across our platform and build systems that automate dental billing end to end. You will own AI-powered workflows, tighten carrier integrations, and ensure reliable production through thoughtful design and observability.

The role is fully remote, reporting to the Head of Engineering, with opportunities to raise the bar across the engineering organization and collaborate with a distributed US team.

Qualifications

8+ years building and operating production software at staff/principal scope.
Experience across the stack, from product features to infra.
Strong TypeScript/JavaScript, frontend and backend.
Deep AWS or GCP experience in production.
Hands-on with major LLM APIs (OpenAI/Anthropic/Google) in production.
Ownership mindset and collaborative approach.

Responsibilities

Set technical direction across the platform.
Build features across the stack and data layer end to end.
Own AI-powered agentic workflows and pipelines, including retries and cost controls.
Harden integration surfaces with dental insurance carriers and systems.
Keep production healthy with fast, safe deploys and observability.
Raise engineering standards through code reviews and documentation.
Tackle ambiguous, company-wide problems and drive them to resolution.
