Job summary

Google is seeking a Software Engineer for its IAM and Cloud security team in Seattle, WA. The role focuses on architecting and implementing agentic authorization solutions and expanding IAM with AI/ML capabilities for a secure, scalable platform.

You will collaborate with product managers and cross-functional teams, lead technical direction, and mentor engineers while ensuring system health through robust monitoring and on-call rotations. This is a full-time, US-based opportunity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field or equivalent practical experience.
• 8 years of experience in software development.
• 5 years in a technical leadership role, designing and building large-scale distributed systems.
• 5 years of experience with cloud computing technologies.
• 3 years of applying AI/ML techniques to real-world problems in infrastructure or security domains.

• Architect and implement agentic authorization solutions, directly contributing to GCP's Agent Cloud foundation strategy.


• Lead the evolution of Cloud Identity and Access Management (IAM) through AI/ML integration. Drive the technical vision and design for the feature development of a highly available, low-latency, and scalable infrastructure systems for IAM policies and resources.


• Collaborate with product managers, technical program managers, and other engineering teams across our organization to define the roadmap and deliver on our commitments.


• Mentor and grow a team of talented engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and innovation.


• Ensure the operational health of our systems by participating in on-call rotations and driving improvements to our monitoring and automation.
