Job summary

UKG is seeking a Staff Software Engineer for the Agentic Acceleration Group in Seattle to design, build, and deploy production-grade AI agents integrated with UKG's HCM platform. You will lead cross-functional teams and architect agentic systems with a focus on performance, scalability, and reliability.

You will mentor engineers, define tool integrations, and drive modernization of agent workflows using Google ADK, LangGraph, and other frameworks. Strong cloud and DevOps practices are essential.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional software development experience, with 2+ years building agentic AI systems or LLM-powered applications in production.
• Deep expertise in Python, Java, C#, JavaScript, or TypeScript.
• Hands‑on experience building production agents using Google ADK, Anthropic Claude SDK, LangChain, LangGraph, or similar frameworks.
• Experience designing multi‑agent systems and tool-use architectures.
• Strong understanding of prompt engineering, context engineering, and agent design patterns.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and deploy production-grade AI agents.
• Integrate agents with enterprise systems via APIs, tools, and MCP servers.
• Drive technical strategy for agentic AI initiatives and projects.
• Lead cross-functional teams to deliver agent-powered solutions on time and within budget.
• Ensure health, observability, and reliability of agent-powered services.
• Mentor junior engineers in producing robust, scalable agents.
