Job summary

Atria Health seeks a Staff Software Engineer, Agentic AI to define strategy and lead the implementation of emerging technologies across our Technology organization and the company. You will be a senior IC who shapes strategy, writes production code, and drives adoption of agentic AI, collaborating with product, design, and engineering teams.

This role is based in New York City with a hybrid work model. Your initial focus will be applying agentic AI across Atria’s technology workflows.

Qualifications

• ~8+ years of professional software engineering experience, including senior or staff IC
• Meaningful hands-on AI/workflow-automation experience in real environments
• Strong product judgment and ability to ship cross-functional initiatives

Responsibilities

• Identify highest-leverage opportunities for agentic systems across Product, Design, and Engineering workflows
• Map end-to-end workflows into clear technical strategies and phased execution plans
• Prioritize work based on measurable business value, technical feasibility, operational risk, and adoption potential
• Help Atria stay current on meaningful advances in emerging technologies and translate them into practical plans
• Architect and build internal platforms for agentic workflows, including context retrieval, integrations, permissions, validation, observability, and auditability
• Design reusable services, APIs, patterns, and interfaces for AI-assisted workflows
• Build and ship high-impact workflow improvements in high-priority areas
• Create systems that combine context across code, documentation, design files, collaboration tools, analytics and other sources
• Define integration patterns to add new workflows without rebuilding core primitives
• Establish evaluation frameworks for agentic systems
• Define how output quality is measured and monitored for drift and failures
• Instrument workflows with metrics tied to adoption, cycle time, and reliability
• Define permissions, access controls, audit trails, vendor risk, and data handling considerations
• Define where agents can act autonomously vs require human approvals
• Create playbooks, standards, and training for engineers, product managers, and designers
• Mentor engineers through design guidance and code review
• Help teams distinguish between demos and durable production systems
