Job summary

Google's software engineers develop the next-generation technologies that change how billions of users connect, explore, and interact with information and one another. Our products need to handle information at massive scale, and extend well beyond web search.

We're looking for engineers who bring fresh ideas from all areas, including information retrieval, distributed computing, large-scale system design, networking and data storage, security, AI, NLP, UI design and mobile.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience required.
• 8 years of experience programming in C++.
• 5 years of experience testing and launching software products.
• 5 years of experience building/developing large-scale infrastructure, distributed systems, or related compute/storage/hardware areas.
• 3 years of experience with software design and architecture.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and technical execution of core landing page infra capabilities.
• Partner with Ads teams across Google to understand product requirements and create a long-term roadmap.
• Define short- and long-term technical roadmap for the infra with production-grade AI/tech features.
• Optimize real-time performance, latency, and resource footprint across client architectures.

• 3 years of experience in a technical leadership role leading project teams and setting technical direction.
• 3 years of experience working in a complex, matrixed organization involving cross-functional, or cross-business projects.
• Understanding of how large-scale systems work and their components interact.

Ads DocService aims at maintaining the signal repositories for landing pages, keywords, creative texts to enable Ads Quality. It provides different backend processing frameworks to compute, store and access rich signals that can be used to optimize Ads.

We observe and understand every ad destination (Landing Page), Keyword, Query, Creative that is visible to our users and make them easily available to our clients.

Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

US: $207000 - $300000 (USD) + 20% bonus target + equity + benefits

Responsibilities:

• Lead the design and technical execution of different core landing page infra capabilities.
• Partner closely with Ads teams across Google to understand their product requirements and create a design/long-term roadmap that enables that outlook.
• Define the short-term/long-term technical roadmap for the infra. Push for pioneering, "first-of-its-kind" AI/technical features with the need for robust, production-grade infrastructure.
• Optimize real-time performance, latency, and resource footprint across different client architectures and use cases.
