Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking a seasoned software engineer to help build and scale our infrastructure, focusing on high-performance C++ for distributed systems, data storage, and compute technologies.

You will manage priorities, develop and test code, and contribute to architecture decisions while collaborating across teams to deliver reliable, scalable products in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 years of experience programming in C++.
• 3 years of experience developing large-scale infrastructure, distributed systems, or compute/storage/hardware architecture.
• 3 years of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products, plus 1 year in design/architecture.

• Contribute code and designs to build AI/LLM-powered Ads serving infrastructure.

In this role, you will help support numerous launches through a constantly evolving system, providing APIs, testing frameworks and tools/processes that enable high developer productivity and operational excellence.

As a part of Search's pivot toward AI-first experiences through AI Overview and AI Mode, you will help evolve the Ads Serving stack and prepare it for next‑gen AI/Large Language Model (LLM) capabilities.

US: $174000 - $252000 (USD) + 15% bonus target + equity + benefits
