Job summary

Imagine Pediatrics is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to design, build, and support our digital product suite. You’ll focus on scale, stability, and delightful experiences for clinicians and members, while guiding a team of engineers to follow best practices.

You will communicate across technical and non-technical stakeholders, translate goals into architecture, and drive data-driven product improvements in healthcare, with cloud-based delivery on AWS and modern web/mobile stacks.

Qualifications

• Deep understanding of front-end, APIs and back-end services.
• Experience with modern technologies such as JavaScript, Node, AWS and React.
• Experience hosting services on cloud providers (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Experience delivering mobile products to Apple/Google Play is a plus.
• Experience in healthcare or virtual care is strongly preferred.

What You’ll Do

As Staff Software Engineer with Imagine Pediatrics, you will be responsible for designing, building and supporting our digital product suite, with a focus on scale, stability and delightful user experiences for our clinical team and our members. Your focus will be finding and building solutions to achieve our goals and solve problems.

You will:

• Be an effective communicator while interacting with technical and non-technical audiences
• Communicate with business stakeholders to understand goals and translate them to technical architecture and requirements
• Have a data-driven, iterative approach to building products
• Estimate product scope and timelines
• Lead and mentor other software engineers to follow best engineering practices
• Produce technical solutions that satisfy business requirements with a focus on scalability, stability, efficiency, maintainability and extensibility
• Build products and software using modern & stable technologies

• Experience hosting application services on cloud providers (AWS, GCP, Azure)
• Experience delivering mobile, digital products to the Apple and Google Play app store is a plus
• Experience working in a fast-paced, hypergrowth, collaborative environment
• Experience in healthcare / virtual care strongly preferred

What We Offer (Benefits + Perks)

The role offers a base salary range of $180,000 - $200,000 in addition to annual bonus, competitive company benefits package and eligibility to participate in an employee equity purchase program (as applicable). When determining compensation, we analyze and carefully consider several factors including job-related knowledge, skills and experience.
