Job summary

We are seeking an Escalation Engineer who is passionate about pioneering smart Wi-Fi products that enable carriers and enterprises to stay ahead of the exploding demand for high-bandwidth applications and services.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for support and development of Ruckus products, including WiFi Access Point (AP), Controller (premise and cloud), and Ruckus analytics tools.
• Interact with the support team to live-debug and troubleshoot customer field issues and recover customer networks promptly.
• Independently reproduce customer network issues in the lab and isolate the root cause from lab reproduction.
• Commit code in the active branches, verify the fix in the lab and deliver patch solutions to customers.
• Develop customer-requested features to meet customer requirements and use cases.

Qualifications

• Master’s or bachelor’s degree in computer science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. 3 to 10 years in software engineering with a strong track record of code development on network devices.
• Languages: Proficiency in C, C++, Python, Java.
• Networking: Deep expertise in IP networking, routing protocols. Strong WiFi background is a plus.
• Strong debugging capability and troubleshooting scale in L2/L3 networks.

Compensation and Benefits

• Our salary ranges consider a wide variety of factors, including benchmarking by independent third-party consultants, skill sets, years of experience, training, education, geography, and other business needs. Depending on experience, the range can be higher for candidates with exceptional experience and a demonstrated history of successful performance. This position\'s expected total compensation (base salary and commission range) is $100,600.00 - $128,600.00.
• The candidate will be rewarded with a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision plans, life and accidental death insurance, a 401(k) plan, and participation in the Company’s Incentive Plan. Eligible for eleven paid holidays in a full calendar year, two weeks of paid vacation (prorated based on start date), and other leave options.
