Job summary

CDK Global is a leading provider of cloud-based software to dealerships and OEMs, with a hybrid role based in Portland, OR. The candidate will design, develop, and lead backend services in a .NET environment, building scalable web APIs and working with modern JavaScript frameworks.

We seek 8+ years in .NET/C#, Unix/Linux systems programming, and SQL/Oracle expertise, plus experience leading a scrum-team. Hybrid schedule combines office days in Portland with remote work on other days.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related field or 15+ years of experience in lieu of degree
• 8-12 years of experience with Microsoft .NET as Developer
• Experience developing web APIs
• At least 7 years' experience with modern JavaScript frameworks such as Angular or React
• Experience in design and implementation of transaction-oriented software in a Linux/C environment a plus
• Expert in the C# programming language
• Expert level capabilities in Php a plus
• Expert in Unix/Linux systems programming including I/O, networking, file systems and database access, and shell scripting
• In-depth knowledge of .NET infrastructure
• Expert level experience with SQL/Oracle databases
• Understanding of fundamental design principles for building a scalable web application
• Excellent software development hygiene ensuring performance, quality, and responsiveness
• Ability to lead scrum-team (5-7 developers) while contributing technically

The role requires a mix of days in CDK's Portland, OR office and can be worked remotely on the remaining days. Candidates must reside within commuting distance of this office.

• Must have excellent software development hygiene ensuring the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications
• Passionate about Identifying bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions to mitigate and address the issues
• Capable of providing organized technical leadership to scrum-team (5-7 developers) sized groups while also doing technical work on the project

Salary Range:

$150,000 - $185,000

CDK Global is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. Compensation packages are based on several factors, including but not limited to skills, experience, certifications, and work location. The total compensation package for this position may also include annual performance bonus, benefits and/or other applicable incentive compensation plans.
