Job summary

ServiceNow is seeking a senior software engineer to build high-quality, scalable software with a focus on AI-enabled workflows. You will own code from design through delivery, collaborate with product owners, and design user-friendly software that customers can extend.

You will also mentor teammates and help advance our product suite. Ideal candidates have 8+ years in Java or similar OO languages, strong fundamentals in data structures, algorithms, and design patterns, and experience with

Responsibilities

Job Description

What you get to do in this role:

• Build high-quality, clean, scalable and reusable code by enforcing best practices around software engineering architecture and processes (Code Reviews, Unit testing, etc.)

Qualifications

To be successful in this role you have:

• Experience in leveraging or critically thinking about how to integrate AI into work processes, decision-making, or problem-solving. This may include using AI-powered tools, automating workflows, analyzing AI-driven insights, or exploring AI's potential impact on the function or industry.
• 8+ years of experience with Java or a similar OO language
• Experience with data structures, algorithms, object-oriented design, design patterns, and performance/scale considerations
• Experience with any of the modern UI frameworks like Angular, React or Vue
• Analytical and design skills
• Ability to manage projects with material technical risk at a team level
