Job summary

Casap Technologies, Inc. seeks a Staff Software Engineer in San Francisco, CA to lead the development of scalable backend systems for our AI-powered financial automation and dispute management platform.

You will design and implement microservices, reusable libraries, and configurable components; integrate backend services with financial networks and merchant platforms; and guide end-to-end feature development, architecture, and security improvements.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in computer science or related field with 5 years of software development experience.
• Experience designing and implementing backend systems, microservices, and distributed architectures.
• Proficiency in building scalable, secure CI/CD pipelines and reliable infrastructure.
• Ability to integrate backend services with external financial networks and merchant platforms.
• End-to-end software development experience including architecture decisions and feature implementation.

Design and implement microservices, reusable libraries, and configurable system components. Develop and integrate backend services with credit card networks, banking systems, and merchant platforms. Lead end-to-end product feature development, defining system architecture, technology solutions, and implementation strategies. Improve engineering infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, system performance, security, and reliability. *In-person required*

Requirements

Employer will accept a master's degree in computer science or a related field, and 5 years of experience in the job offered or a software development-related occupation.

Any amount of experience in the additional requirements below will be acceptable unless a specific amount is noted. Prior academic background or work experience to include the following skills:

• Backend software development and scalable system architecture;
• Designing and implementing microservices and distributed backend systems;
• Developing reusable software frameworks, libraries, and configurable system components;
• Integrating backend services with external APIs, financial networks, banking systems, and merchant platforms;
• End-to-end software development, including system architecture, technology selection, and feature implementation;
• CI/CD pipelines, software deployment, and engineering infrastructure;
• Backend system optimization, including performance, security, reliability, and scalability; and
• Designing software systems for high-volume transaction processing and complex financial workflows.

Salary: $222,000 to $230,000 per year. Job Location: San Francisco, CA. In-person required.
