Google in New York is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to lead a distributed team and drive architectural decisions for scalable infrastructure. You will shape roadmaps, mentor engineers, and deliver large-scale solutions across multiple domains.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree + 7 years of post-baccalaureate experience in software engineering.
• Master’s degree + 5 years of experience in the job offered or related area.
• 5 years of experience in LLM/ML, programming in C++, Java, Python, Kotlin or Go; algorithms or data structures; debugging; and systems architecture.

• Influence and coach a distributed team of engineers with aligned goals and timelines.
• Develop and evolve mid-term technical visions and roadmaps for infrastructure needs.
• Design, develop, and deploy large-scale software solutions to solve ambiguous problems and improve system capabilities.
• Guide system architecture by clarifying problems, assessing trade-offs, and vetting designs for cohesion and scalability.
• Drive engineering excellence with testing, code reviews, and best practices; manage lifecycles from planning to production monitoring.

About The Job

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $207,000 - $301,000 + 20% bonus target + equity + benefits determined by role, level, and location.
