Mosaic.tech in Mountain View, CA is hiring a senior software engineer to design, develop, and maintain the SCS platform on a scalable, distributed system. You will work with Java, Golang, and Python and contribute to end-to-end software integrity across builds and deployments.

We seek 7–11 years of experience building scalable applications, strong API design skills (REST/GRPC/GraphQL), and a solid foundation in data structures, algorithms, and cloud services.

Qualifications

• 7–11 years of experience building scalable distributed applications in Java and Golang.
• Experience designing REST, GRPC and GraphQL APIs.
• Strong SQL and NoSQL database knowledge.
• Solid data structures, algorithms and debugging skills.
• SAAS platform development experience at scale.
• Cloud services (AWS/Azure/GCP) familiarity is a plus.
• Bachelor’s in Computer Science or equivalent; advanced degree preferred.

Position Summary

Harness Supply Chain Security (SCS) module protects every stage of the software delivery lifecycle by securing builds, artifacts, and dependencies from source to deployment. It provides end‑to‑end visibility, policy enforcement, and real‑time risk detection to help engineering teams ensure software integrity, prevent tampering, and comply with evolving supply chain security standards. As part of this team, you’ll work on a fast‑growing product that integrates with the broader Harness platform to unify software delivery and developer tooling under one seamless experience.

About the Role

• Design, develop and maintain critical software of scalable platform in fast paced environment
• Authors software functional specifications and design documents
• Quickly understand complex systems/code and own key pieces of the system, including delivered quality
• Diagnose and troubleshoot complex problems in a distributed computing environment
• Establish best practices in area of quality, performance & architecture inside the team
• Mentor Software Engineers & Senior Software Engineers and provide technical leadership to them
• Perform peer reviews of specifications, designs, and code
• Identify technical debt & scaling issues in the basecode and drive improvement
• Works alongside Site Reliability Engineers and cross functional teams to diagnose/troubleshoot any production performance related issues
• Work with Java, Golang, and Python. Systems built on top of Docker, Kubernetes, MongoDB, ELK, TimescaleDB, GCP - Stackdriver, GCS, Cloud Composer, AI Platform

About You

• A desire to build products that solve complex technical problems for end users
• 7-11 years experience developing highly scalable, distributed applications, products and services in Java and Golang
• Designing/developing REST, GRPC and GraphQL APIs
• Working knowledge of SQL and No‑SQL database technologies
• Solid foundation in data structures, algorithms and software design with strong analytical and debugging skills
• Experience in SAAS platform development with scale
• Entrepreneurial spirit, priding yourself on getting things done with a high level of quality
• Experience with AWS/Azure/GCP is a plus
• Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Advanced degree preferred, or equivalent professional experience

Pay and Benefits

The Hiring Range For This Position Is $150,000 - $226,000. A valid authorization to work in the U.S. is required.
