Job summary

Our client in Irvine is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to design, build, and operate Azure-based infrastructure and platform services. You will work hands-on to modernize legacy systems, strengthen cloud architecture, and improve deployment processes using IaC and CI/CD pipelines.

You’ll contribute to secure, scalable cloud solutions with a focus on authentication, API management, and cross-functional collaboration across engineering teams.

Qualifications

• BS in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent.
• Hands-on experience with leadership capabilities.
• 9+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong experience with TypeScript and C#/ .NET.
• Expert-level experience with Microsoft Azure in enterprise environments.
• Experience with IaC tools (Terraform, Bicep, ARM, or similar).
• Experience with CI/CD platforms like GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps.
• Expert experience designing and consuming REST APIs.
• Strong understanding of authentication, authorization, security, and cloud operations.

Responsibilities

A Day in the Life of the Staff Software Engineer

In this role, you'll be a hands-on individual contributor helping accelerate cloud platform initiatives across the business. You'll design, build, and operate business-critical applications and services on Azure, while partnering with engineering teams to strengthen cloud architecture, improve deployment processes, and support long-term system reliability. Your work will directly shape how the company modernizes its infrastructure and scales for the future.

Responsibilities include:

Requirements and Qualifications:

• 9+ years of professional software engineering experience
• Years of professional experience with TypeScript and C#/.NET
• Expert-level experience with Microsoft Azure in enterprise environments
• Professional experience with IaC tools (Terraform, Bicep, ARM, or other)
• Experience with CI/CD platforms like GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps
• Expert experience designing and consuming REST APIs
• Strong understanding of authentication, authorization, application security, and cloud operations
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
